Icenews Clumsy Mistake

Posted on Monday 14 July 2008

I’m always very eager to read news about Iceland particularly but also other Scandinavian countries. IceNews is a website I’m reading very often. They describe themselves as "an independent news resource on Iceland, Scandinavia and Northern Europe. It has a full news and PR team which work with companies around the world using our eNews PR services. Icenews publishes articles on current events, politics, entertainment, culture, travel and forthcoming events in Scandinavia and around Northern Europe". However I realized they are very sloppy in most of their articles. Cut and paste, bad sum up or just horrible mistakes are common practice.
Here is an example of some really nasty mistakes (It is (a week and many comments later) still not fixed). Note the "Finland’s world renowned cycling sprint specialist", ridiculous..

We here at IceNews put our hands up to this one. It was an unacceptable mistake and NOT one we will make again!
Thanks to all of you who set us right.
