Christmas Break

Posted on Friday 22 December 2006

The beginning of December has been a hell of month. I’ve been busy the whole days as it’s generally the case when deadlines come closer. Last Saturday I flew back home to Paris for my Christmas break, the first in 6 months ! The irony of the story is that I brang some work with me ;) January looks as busy as december I’m afraid. And even though I’m hoping to have a huge new years eve back in Reykjavik, I’m not sure I’ll be able to write anythings down until hmmm I don’t know.
It feels nice to be back home. I have hundreds of things to do. In the long list belongs the “doing nothing but watching crap on tele” of course :P. I’m also thinking of what next, the eternal question I have in my mind. My thoughts about Iceland hasn’t changed that much from the beginning. I’m still on that dynamic of “Been there, done that”. I wish I could have been lost on time but I’ve been more watching days passing like rockets on the calendar. It’s like if I have that luggage under my bed still opened ready to be packed. Shall I spend a second summer in Iceland ? or Shall I check out how things are going somewhere else ?
Anyhow, I have harsh winter waiting for me and I’m sure some really good times later on in 2007. But before that I have to keep breathing cars pollution, hear people beefing, shop, drink good coffee, phone old friends that aren’t answering, play my old records full of dust, and much more exciting things…
As I mentioned earlier, I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep that blog up and running and I hate to see dead webbies so I might pull the plug of the server someday.

    Hi,

I am also back at my parents’ place now. I am spending one year in Reykjavík and I don’t know yet if I will spend the next in Rvk as well. I hope you enjoy being back :).

About abandoned blogs… well, my blog about Iceland is not getting much activity since I have been quite busy last semester. For me it’s best to keep it open… and well, about yours, it’s up to you :), but I have your RSS feed in Google Reader so I don’t have to drop by everytime I want to know if you have updated, so if it gets a bit abandoned it’s not a problem for me, all your posts will be welcome!

P.S.: I discovered your blog looking for “Best í heimi”. I had gone to see the play, loved it and wanted to know more about it.

I’m glad you liked the play. Indeed, now I know that it has been warmly welcomed by the public. As I’m closed to one of the actors I usually have feedbacks on how things are going in the theater and I can tell you I’ve heard that some producers would love to see the concept aired on TV under some kind of soap. I don’t know how far this has been working on but I’m sure I would be the first addicted.
